So now what happens?

We were only a few hours out and after all that, I slipped an took a bag at the Target checkout! Between Eva, Nathanael, and paying for my purchases (which were small enough to slip into the diaper bag), I didn't think anything of taking the bag from the cashier. Goes to show that habits take more than a few weeks to change.

However, when I took the time to think about it (and it helps to have Nathanael along chatting about our "go green" purchases!) I do better. We stopped to pick up some special supplies for a project the kids are doing and left with binders made of recycled chipboard and paperclips made from recycled material. This was a lot of fun, actually, because it was NCK who helped compare packages and find which ones were made out of recycled materials.

Nathanael's showing off tally marks on the toilet...although I should take a new pic...now the potty is covered with tally marks AND all sorts of other black-crayon creative artwork!


Strawberry / rhubarb crisp made with some of our organic produce...yummy!




Alyssa's recycle box is finally being used for recycling...REALLY!
