Lunchtime. We just read Alice the Fairy by David Shannon. Cute book. I generally like what he does.
Quote, page one: "I'm not a Permanent fairy. I'm a Temporary fairy. You have to pass alot of tests to be a Permanent fairy."
I pitch a fit. "ALOT" -- in print! Not in my house.
Quote, Alyssa: "Mom, I have a hypothesis. I think David Shannon knows how to write 'a lot.' I think he just wrote 'alot' to show how the fairy would write it."
